Free Blended Intensive Teacher Training
SciLMi – Meta‑Scientific Literacies in the (Mis‑)Information Age (SciLMi; www.scilmi.eu) is an Erasmus+ Teacher Academy (2023–2026) focused on equipping secondary‑school educators across Europe with the skills to foster meta‑scientific literacies—critical thinking, digital and media literacy, and inclusive classroom practices. SciLMi develops training programs and learning modules to help teachers guide students in navigating socio‑scientific misinformation and making informed democratic decisions
SciLMi is arranging a FREE Blended Intensive Teacher Training (BIT) course for lower- and upper-secondary teachers in November this year. Teachers from all EU countries and North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Türkiye, are eligible to apply. The course will be hosted by the University of Innsbruck.
Our BIT offers secondary teachers of all disciplines a great opportunity to prepare themselves and their future learners for the challenges of a world shaped by misinformation. Participants will acquire competencies in media and information literacy, critical thinking, and inclusive education while engaging in a cross-country and interdisciplinary exploration of socially relevant topics such as climate change, environmental pollution, and food scarcity. Most travel and accommodation costs are covered.
